Under the direction of the respective Supervisor/Coordinator/Project Manager within B&LT, the Network Analyst is responsible for cross-functional execution of projects and to provide technical support on production systems assigned to these groups. The type and scope of projects, along with the actual day-to-day tasks will vary as project needs change, but the nature of work for the Analyst will be constant within the framework of the project requirements. For example, to maintain and support networks or computers, the Network Analyst will carry out research activities pre-designed by B&LT Analysts, focusing on testing and implementation strategies of various aspects of new systems or enhancements to existing systems; provide technical expertise and training to specialized groups of staff; develop, test, install, and maintain hardware and software; provide assistance to other Department staff; contact computer hardware and software companies for assistance.

The assignment of a supervisor may be driven by the specific projects designed to meet system needs. This position will present the opportunity to build a wide foundation of skills and experiences to enable staff to take on more analytical roles in the future.

Due to the increasing expectation by all users that the computer systems of the OCDSB are accessible at any time, shift work may be necessary.
- Knowledge of relevant Board policies and procedures;
- Interpersonal and communication skills required to exchange and clarify information, ability to understand and respond to inquiries using tact and diplomacy when dealing with OCDSB staff, consultants, vendors, and companies.
- Organization and time management skills required for prioritizing work/projects and managing multiple priorities and concurrent demands.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills required to identify and solve networking, server, cabling, and computer software/hardware problems.
- A demonstrated increasing ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Ability to identify problems and provide support on site or on the telephone.
- Initiative and judgment skills required for making decisions and determining corrective/appropriate actions and for troubleshooting.
- Research skills required for locating resources and information, to review vendor documentation, and to conduct internet searches and evaluate software.
- The incumbent must have the ability to learn new materials and technology with and without instruction, works independently and with mínimal supervision.
- Access to reliable transportation.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $48,803.00-$62,947.00 per year
