Description:
I am an adult with a physical disability who needs help with personal-care so that I can live my life independently. I am fully capable of communicating my needs to you and you will receive some on-the-job training.

This is a unique opportunity to provide healthcare support while benefiting from working one-on-one in a welcoming and supportive home environment.

No special education or certification is required, but PSW/healthcare certification/experience is an asset and you must have a willingness to learn, follow directions and provide personal-care support for an adult male.

**Reliability is very important.**

Sunday-Wednesday (and every third Saturday) overnight from 10:30 PM-6:30 AM.

Shifts involve a night routine (personal hygiene, undressing, transferring to bed and positioning), positioning throughout the night and some miscellaneous tasks.

This is not a sleep shift as some overnight care is required as well as being available to help me as needed. However, care is mínimal and it is a great opportunity for anyone who is taking some online courses, or just wants to catch up on some reading or watch some videos.

**Responsibilities**:

- Physical ability to perform various aspects of attendant support including transfers (with mechanical lift), positioning, dressing, personal hygiene & grooming, etc.;
- Punctuality, reliability and dependability
- Good communication skills and ability to accurately follow directions from the employer;
- English-speaking;
- Ability to work cooperatively with the employer, other members of the household and with other employees;
- Ability to stay awake during the overnight shift.

Training is provided on site.

The wage for this shift is split between a regular rate and an overnight flat rate.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Employees qualify for any government-funded personal support worker payment premiums and bonuses. Employees will be required to wear facemask for the duration of the shift. Must be double vaccinated. Rapid response testing available.
