Sprinkler & Fire Protection Design Lead

**ABOUT US**: Fire Cube is a leading fire protection engineering firm with a track record of over 10 years that spans projects across various provinces in Canada. Our team provides specialized fire and life safety engineering services for various sectors, including industrial, commercial, residential and institutional sectors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop schematic and detailed engineering designs for fire protection systems including, sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps and suppression systems.
- Plan and manage project deliverables, including contract adminstration tasks of projects under construction.
- Liaison with clients and project team for coordination, through regular meetings and site visits.
- Conduct site reviews of completed installations and provide construction review reports.
- Complete reviews of existing systems to gather relevant information for retrofit projects.
- Prepare engineering assessment reports/opinions and develop alternative solutions for system use cases.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- College Degree a must, Bachelor's of Engineering considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years in the fire protection design & engineering industry.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- AutoCAD skills are required, REVIT skills are an asset
- Strong Knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20 standards and Ontario Building Code.

**REMOTE WORK**: Hybrid model which balances work from home and in office.
