**What can I expect to do in this role?**: As a Manual Worker you will:

- perform general park maintenance functions
- carry out facility inspections
- assist with the operation of the park's water treatment facility
- promote compliance with park rules and regulations
- advise, report and record problems, violations and complaints to park duty officer
- assist with training and leadership
- perform building maintenance and cleaning to park facilities

**How do I qualify?**:
**Mandatory requirements**:

- You must possess a valid class 'G' driver's licence or equivalent as recognized by the province of Ontario.
- You must have the ability to obtain a CPR and Emergency First Aid certificate.
- You must be able to work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as per schedule.
- You have the physical ability to carry out functions of the positions.
- You must possess or have the ability to obtain a small drinking water systems operator certification

**Technical knowledge**:

- You possess knowledge of general building, utility maintenance and operating procedures including water, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- You are knowledgeable of operating standards of the maintenance and sanitation of building facilities and utility maintenance.

**Interpersonal skills**:

- You have the ability to provide group leadership to student staff and volunteers.
- You are able to work with mínimal supervision, follow and carry out instructions.
- You demonstrate customer service skills to deal with staff and contractors.
- You have demonstrated organizational skills

**General skills and knowledge**:

- You have the ability to operate and maintain a variety of powered equipment such as chainsaws, lawn mowers and small hand tools.
