Dessert Holdings is looking for a Full Time Production / Relief Machine Operator to join our team based in London, ON. This individual will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting equipment to maintain production standards. You'll ensure cleanliness, support line staff, and adhere to safety and quality protocols.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: _(This is a full-time production role that provides Machine Operator backup when needed)_
- Work on the production line in a variety of roles (Depositing, Decorating and Packaging) to produce our high-quality cake products.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Equipment set up and troubleshooting adjustments, to keep products within standard and to keep all the lines running at or above required performance.
- Maintaining the required hygiene standards of the equipment and the facility, consistent with GMP standards and Master Sanitation Schedules.
- Removing waste from the production areas as needed.
- Safe use, storage, and maintenance of all company supplied cleaning equipment hand tools and materials.
- Supporting setup, contract cleaning and maintenance services when necessary.
- Maintaining all BRC audit paperwork and other required documentation may be required.
- Liaising with appropriate staff throughout the shift to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
- Supporting line staff on day-to-day basis for general troubleshooting / problem-solving / conflict resolution.
- Supporting training and continuous learning activities within the department.
- Responsible to practice the 5 steps of cleaning at all times.
- Start and operate all equipment within the department assigned, however, critical equipment such as the VRT and Abrigo robotic cutters will be handled by the maintenance department.
- Product changeovers on all equipment not classified as CRITICAL by operations.
- Work efficiently and be sure that changeovers are smooth with mínimal downtime and all time accounted for.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School Diploma is preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
- Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.
- 1-2 years of experience working as a machine operator in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical.
- Chemical knowledge and comfortable working with exposure to cold temperatures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Adhering to safety, quality and performance standards.
- Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment.
- Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks
- Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, climb stairs, navigate around equipment, and work with a sense of urgency.
- Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator.

**Shift Summary**:

- Required to be available for a minimum of five shifts per week from Monday to Saturday,** with Saturdays being a regularly required **shift.**:

- Desire more hours? Increase your availability
- All the shifts are rotational and run for 8 hours with a 30-minute break added.

**Schedule**:

- Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
- Must be able to accommodate all the starting times on the specified shift
- Start times could be different every day,
- ** A-Shift start times are between 1:00 am - 6:00 am**:

- ** B-Shift start times are between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm**:

- ** C-Shift start times are between 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm**

**What We Offer**:
**Pay Rate**: While performing Production role, probationary rate per hour is $19.96 and full rate is $22.18

***While performing** **Machine Operator role, probationary rate per hour is $24.11 and full rate is $26.78
