**Duties**:
Delivers and adapts interpretive presentations, programs, and activities on land and on Lake Superior (on-water programs in sea kayak and/or voyageur canoe) to provide visitors of the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn and enjoy the place and its natural and/or cultural resources and understand their significance to Canada. Assists with community events and outreach activities throughout the region, and visitor services such as merchandise sales, trip planning, light cleaning, etc.

**Intent of the process**:
The results from this competition may be used to fill term positions at the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area in 2025 and future operational seasons.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary school with a degree, diploma or PSC approved alternatives OR an acceptable combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to the position.

An acceptable combination of education, training and experience is defined as the following:
Two years of secondary school or PSC approved alternatives; AND
- Successful completion of a minimum of one (1) course relevant to the duties of the position (e.g., courses taken through continuing education facilities, colleges, universities, professional or governmental organizations or employers including training provided by Indigenous* elders or group that may include but are not limited to courses in heritage interpretation, communications, public speaking, performing arts); AND
- A minimum of three (3) months experience working in the fields of education, interpretation, and/or outreach-communications.
- The term Indigenous is referred to as Aboriginal in Employment Equity Act.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in paid or volunteer work that entailed direct contact and communication with the public
- Experience in delivering information to groups with the purpose of education, engagement, entertainment and/or motivation
