Glenhyrst's seasonal camps have a long legacy of creating impact in our community. We play a leading role in providing quality camp experiences for children and extraordinary employment opportunities for our camp instructors. This is where you come in:
What you will do
- be a part of a one week March Break team at Glenhyrst Art Gallery
- Work as a camp instructor for children ages 4 - 12 to facilitate daily art activities and games
- Program delivery and preparations for daily activities
- Supervise campers during art activities, outdoor time and during meal times
- Ensure camper inclusion
- Generate and maintain camper enthusiasm
- Monitor campers’ health including hydration and overall wellness
- Assist with camper arrival and departure procedures
- Participate in pre and post camp procedures
- Administer first aid as required

What you will bring
- Experience working with children or youth, or experience working in a camp setting an asset, but not required
- Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Use good judgement and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues with tact and discretion
- Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Police Records Check if selected for a position

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

**Salary**: $15.50/hour

Location: Glenhyrst Art Gallery, 20 Ava Road, Brantford ON

Licence/Certification:
Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification (preferred)

Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
