Roofer/labourer

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams;
- Working on low-slope or steep-slope roof sometimes both;
- Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures;
- Placing tiles, nailing them to roof boards, and covering nail heads with roofing cement
- Removing old roofing materials;
- Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight;
- Locating worn or torn areas in roofs;
- Multitasking and time management Skills
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety;
- Complete Hazard Assesments, Tool inspections, and Firewatch
- Participate in emergency response Drills
- Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM,SBS

**Preferred**:

- **Wages range from $30 - $45 /hr depending on experience**:

- Knowledge of different types of roofing systems
- Knowledge of building ordinances
- Drivers License
- Commercial or Industrial Roofing experience
- Half Mask Fit test
- CSTS training
- Fall Protection
- First Aid
- Soprema certification
- Red Seal is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
