Be a catalyst for change and lead the fight against family violence in Alberta
- Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Albertans? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our Family Violence Integrated Strategy. This role is crucial in overseeing the development and implementation of policies, programs, and public awareness initiatives aimed at preventing family violence, sexual violence, and abuse.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of professionals in policy development, research, and public awareness campaigns.
- Provide strategic support and project planning for legislation and policy development.
- Provide strategic support to cross-ministerial response to family violence and abuse
- Oversee the Family Violence Death Review Committee, ensuring recommendations are implemented and tracked.
- Coordinate grants and contracts for community-based agencies addressing family violence and abuse.
- Increase public awareness and education on family violence through strategic campaigns and events

**Qualifications**:
A university degree in social work, social sciences, or a related field supplemented by three years progressively responsible experience in a field related to the position.

Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

Preference will be given to those who have:

- Significant experience in policy development, legislation interpretation, and team leadership.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Extensive knowledge of family violence prevention theories, principles, and intervention techniques.
- Experience in community development practice and quality assurance systems.
