**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Directly responsible to the Fabrication Manager. Functionally responsible to ensure a safe clean environment on all production equipment.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education/Experience**
- Prior custodial-type experience is preferred but not essential.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have a good command of English, both written and oral.
- Good time management and organizational skills are necessary.

**Technical Skills/Competence**
- Must be able to work independently and with mínimal supervision.
- Must be able to effectively communicate/cooperate with production crews and supervisors in order to maximize job efficiency.
- Follow the cleaning schedule and tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Lifting and bending may be required.
- May lift 35 - 50 lbs on a frequent basis.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The duties and responsibilities of the Fabrication Machine Cleaner are detailed below, but not limited to the following:

- General clean-up of production machinery and surrounding areas. Specifically sweeping, vacuuming, removing butt/billets from under presses and painting of equipment as required.
- Monitor on a daily basis the condition/state of the equipment and related areas and address/clean as required.
- Report issues observed on equipment and surrounding areas to supervisor/manager.
- Operate saw to cut up scrap.
- Assist with sorting material when required.
- Assist production crews as a helper when required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ensures work area is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times.
