Calgary, Canada Little Stars Ltd Full time

Little Stars is looking to recruit a dynamic daycare teacher for our awesome group of kids It is a Monday to Friday position, shift is between 7am-6pm starting end of October.

Your primary role will be to teach children and engage with them. We follow Flight and have a routine that enhances the child's learning and development. We have 34 kids daily, family style learning and child care (1 room divided for age groups). It's a very busy and fun centre. You will be working primarily with toddlers but assisting with preschool age as well.

Responsibilities and Duties

Plan engaging activities for a group of kids ages 19 months to 6 years (strong programming skills) following Flight

Change diapers

Assist with washroom and potty training

Engage with kids during play

Attend staff meetings and professional development days

Assist with dressing

Assist with prepping snack

Following routines and transitions for the children

Working in a team of 6 adults

Engage with parents by having positive conversations (even when something bad has happened)

Work well under pressure and stress with a large group of children.

Able to be flexible with the daily schedule and able to plan for last minute changes in routine.

Reliable transportation is required as bus isn't always reliable.

Qualifications and Skills

minimum of 2 year experience in child care

First Aid and CPR

Current police check (within 6 months) with clear vulnerable sector search

Speak, write and read English (or good enough English to be understood properly by everyone

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
