**Responsibilities**:
Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items

Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes

Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage

Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet established standards

Manage multiple food orders with efficiency and without compromising on quality

Monitoring supplies and identifying need for stock to supervisor

Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean and sanitized before each use

Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas regularly

Upkeep of exceptional cleanliness of kitchen, storeroom and refrigerator

Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner

Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders

Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed at all times

Presenting a positive and welcoming attitude towards guests and colleagues

Assisting in training new employees as required

Adhering to grooming and appearance standards consistently

Cooperating and communicating with all Trail Hub staf

Attending team meetings and participate in mandatory training as required

Providing general support in other areas of business at Trail Hub as requested

**Skills and Qualifications**

2 years proven cook experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Safe food handling certification

Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques

Strong attention to detail

Ability to effectively resolve conflict, accept feedback and problem solve

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative

Confident, outgoing and positive demeanor

Ability to be mobile for entire shift, bend, stoop and life a moderate weight

Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Uxbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- safe food handler certification (required)
