**About the Bender Role**

The Pines Bender is responsible for cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, welding, or otherwise shape and form metal stock such as channel, I beam, and structural steel as specified.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
- Maintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shift.
- Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.
- Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
- Bend materials according to instructions or blueprints as required. Check work to ensure the quality meets expectations.
- Ensure stocks/inventory of needed materials are always ready and available.
- Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures.
- Properly use personal protective equipment when required.
- Notify supervisors/leads of problems that may occur with equipment or part quality.
- Other activities may include but are not limited to: cutting, sawing, drilling, tapping, grinding, prepping kits and lay-outs to meet customer specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and Overhead Crane experience preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively build relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.19-$28.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
