CBI Health is looking for a Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) to complement our talented interdisciplinary team. **As a Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA), you will**:

- Create and/or contribute to excellence in the client and stakeholder experience
- Lead clients through individualized care plans - accurately assessing, communicating, and providing hands-on treatment to facilitate goal attainment for the client
- Provide written reports, as required, ensuring all documentation is aligned with College and CBI Health standards
- Contribute to the clinic team through collaboration, demonstrating passion for the work you do and using good judgement and integrity in decision-making
- Provide ongoing evaluation of client progress
- Engage in continuous learning and skills development.
- Support the therapists with ensuring that communication and instruction are provided and accessible to our partner

**What you will need to be successful**
- You possess a post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA Diploma)
- Be available for a Full Time opportunity (37.5 hours per week)
- You can assist/ teach exercise programs and train activities of daily living, including the use of assistive equipment
- You can provide gait and balance training
- You are knowledgeable in the use of therapeutic equipment
- Willing to assist/complete transfers, (may require 2 person technique with or without the use of a mechanical lift)
- You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and comfortable learning new software
- Your focus is to embrace person and family-centered care
- You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
- You value the role a therapy assistant plays in keeping clients at home when that is of personal importance
- Your bilingual language skills in English and French are an asset
