For some, traveling and being away is fun; however, many travelers miss being home. Our Maintenance team makes our hotels feel like home. As a Repair and Maintenance Associate, your contribution helps ensure guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

What will I be doing?

As a Repair and Maintenance Associate, you would be responsible for general maintenance work to ensure the hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. You are also responsible for supporting safety requirements, maintaining physical appearance “curb appeal,” and responding to repair requests. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching and painting.
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled or as needed basis.
- Check and make routine repairs to all hotel equipment including small appliances, hand and power tools, general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds without assistance and maximum of 140 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods, often for a minimum of 2 hours at a time.
- Must be able to frequently walk and climb/descend stairs approximately 50% of the time and on occasion is required to climb up and down ladders.
- Must have general dexterity for firm and simple grasping of objects. Some tasks, such as the use of small repair tools, may also require fine dexterity skills.
- Must be able to periodically kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed to accomplish required tasks.
- Must be able to push and/or pull approximately 60% of the time, to include when using a cart to carry tools, trash, linens, etc. or when operating equipment such as a salt spreader, wheelbarrow, etc.
- Ability to withstand temperature variations of both hot and cold. Possible exposure to extreme temperatures (outdoor weather conditions).
