**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:

- Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director and as a member of the Communications, Political Action and Campaigns (CPAC) Section, the CPAC Project Management Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of CPAC related projects and coordinating the project-related activities of a diverse implementation team consisting of external consultants, CPAC staff and internal stakeholders.- The CPAC Project Management Officer supports resourcing and scheduling, building tools and systems to understand forward-looking capacity, identifying capacity crunches, working with team leads to assign project work, and visualizing and communicating the narrative of overall section workload to CPAC staff and management.**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**_Education/Experience_**:

- Bachelor’s degree in project management or a relevant discipline or a combination of education and experience in project management and structured systems analysis techniques and systems development life cycle methodologies.
- A minimum five (5) years demonstrated working experience in structured systems analysis and design, and project management.
- Project Management certification would be an asset.
- Experience working in resourcing or project management software tools.

- Knowledge and commitment of trade union and equity principles, and understanding of the sensitive political and social issues.

**_Abilities_**:

- Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of PMsystems investments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive and technically sound advice to management, project lead users and staff in specific technical and project management process areas.
- Proven ability in developing action plans and making presentations of plans and reports to management is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in creating systems including requirements definitions, flow charts, Gantt charts, data flow diagrams and training documents is required.
- Ability to install, evaluate and implement into production various vendors supplied packages is required.
- Ability to effectively schedule tasks and assignments, deal with competing priorities and remain effective during pressure situations.
- Ability to accept responsibility and work effectively without close supervision in a methodical and efficient manner, and cooperatively with others in a team.
- Ability to understand and respond strategically and tactically to operational issues with innovative solutions.
- Ability to analyze, assess and make recommendations on various informatics related proposals.
- Ability to demonstrate good client service through commitment to customer service.
- Second language skills as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level indicated above.

- Commitment to continuous quality / process improvement.
- The position requires excellent judgment and demonstrated problem solving, consultative, persuasive and conflict resolution skills to provide sound direction and advice on a variety of complex technology issues to all levels of users and/or technical and Help Desk staff.
- Subject to operational requirements, this position may be required to work regular late hour shifts that end between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
