The DMS Group is seeking a **Junior Paralegal **to join our team in **North York**. The Junior Paralegal will work in our Investor Owned division under the direction of the Regional Manager.
As a member of the property management team, the key responsibilities of the **Junior Paralegal **include but are not limited to:
- Preparing all necessary LTB forms (N4, L9, Breaches, etc.)
- Receiving, documenting, and filing all communications from LTB regarding outcomes of hearings.
- Following up on all Orders
- Completing additional related accounting duties and administration
- Responsible for handling Small Claims and Landlord Tenant matters
- Preparing files for collections and liaising with Collection Agencies as required
- Being a primary point of contact for other team members regarding tenant legal issues
- Communicate with the property administrators and full management of tenant legal cards within software provided
- Forwarding documents and liaising with the Enforcement Office in order to enforce evictions.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Excellent workplace knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Board is an asset**:
- Licensed Paralegal
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Attention to detail and Self-motivated
- Strong ethics
- Knowledge of accounting
- 2-5 years of experience with the Landlord and Tenant Board
- Knowledge with MS- Office
- Occasional travel is required for LTB hearings in various locations
