This is a role with research and development properties, that has associated administrative duties, and relative regulatory compliance components. Strong communication will help the applicant navigate and determine different accessible markets, and different developmental processes while working with a great internal network designed for success. This developmental role will put you in touch with some of the great minds in the industry, in an office-based job, with field elements, including some minor associated lab work.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Waste Analysis Technician is responsible for waste tracking (inbound and outbound), collecting samples of water, solids, and waste at the site, sending the samples for 3rd party Analysis, and reporting to the manager on the analysis. They will also be assisting the manager in developing processes for treatment, and disposal.

**Standard Task Details**:

- Collecting samples of water, solids, and waste.
- Writing chain of custody forms to have the material analyzed in a 3rd party laboratory.
- Reading and reporting on analyzed waste reports from various labs as well as in house testing.
- Writing manifests for shipping water, solids, oil, and waste.
- Filing any documents that are relevant to regulatory compliance.
- Assist Operations with bench testing for reactions between fluids.
- Assist the manager with administrative tasks.

**Safety**:

- Attend all safety meetings
- Abide by Secure’s Occupational Health and Safety Program
- Communicate all safety concerns with Field Supervisors in a timely manner
- Report incident, hazards, and near misses to supervisors right away.

**Qualifications and Educational Requirements**:
The individual in this role will have:

- BSc in chemistry or greater, or 5 years relevant experience.
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Competent with Microsoft Programs ie. Excel, Word, Power Point
- Good understanding of acids, bases, carbon chains, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, and water management.

**Beneficial Experience**:
