Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and have memorable experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young campers.

Required Qualifications
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and outings
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Collaborate with other counselors to create a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts or challenges
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and concerns
- You are a minimum of 18 years old
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard)
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp)
- The Counselor is hired for the summer - July and August 2024
- Hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Counselor pay $16.55 to $18 per hour depending on experience

Skills and desired qualifications
- Early childhood education or related experience is preferred
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with children of different ages
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in adapting activities to meet individual camper needs
- Ability to provide tutoring or educational support is highly valued
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model
- You provide strong references that can’t say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic
- French is a asset
- Experience sailing not required
- A Pleasure Craft Operators Card with experience driving a motor boat is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $16.55-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
