H-E Parts International is currently seeking a Buyer I to join our team in Leduc, AB. The Buyer reporting to the Purchasing Manager, will be responsible for strategic planning and buying of material and products to ensure accurate stocking levels.

This position will create and manage purchase orders, analyze and determine inventory parameters, communicate delivery schedules, expedite material, process returns and help resolve payment issues, if any. They will work closely and support cross-functional departments such as Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, Warehousing, and Accounting.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Safety is # 1- conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
- Plan and manage inventory of parts for the Canadian operations based on customer forecast, demand, and goals set by the organization.
- Coordinate and plan parts delivery with the production team to ensure effective and timely completion of jobs.
- Co-ordinate with cross-functional departments across the organization for resolution of supplier issues (quality, delivery), or implementation of changes to the supplier base.
- Maintain integrity of purchase order information in the ERP system.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, inventory reduction, and support implementation and disposition of excess & obsolete inventory, as necessary.
- Support annual inventory count and maintain inventory integrity by performing routine cycle counts to audit performance.
- Strive to meet goals for on time delivery, inventory turns, and cost reduction KPI’s.
- Act independently as well as in a team environment with a positive attitude and customer focused and solution-oriented mindset.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 1-2 years of Buying experience.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel & Word.
- Experience using Supply Chain systems (i.e., ERP systems).
- Occasional travel domestically and internationally.
- **Preferred**: Certification (SCMP, CPM)

Pay: $52,501.00-$78,752.50 per year
