**Summary**

The accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for full cycle payments, timely recording and processing of Accounts Payable invoices, investigation and resolution of discrepant invoices. This position requires accuracy, organization skills and attention to detail is very important. The accounts payable clerk will directly support the department by carrying out related duties.

**Job Duties**
- Maintain vendor database
- Match invoice, packing slips and purchase orders in preparation for AP data entry
- Verify invoice price matches PO and resolve differences
- Complete the account coding of Payables
- Enter A/P invoices, verify and post to A/P module
- Process cash disbursements of cheques, wire transfers and EFT in a multi currency environment
- Match entered invoices to processed cash disbursements
- Scan and maintain documents to the AP/AR archive folders
- Review of supplier statements, to ensure all invoices are entered on a monthly basis
- Contact the supplier for missing invoices or issues on the statement
- Reply to an inquiry from the supplier on the status of invoice or group of invoices
- Process and audit expense reports in accordance to company policies
- File paperwork and maintain filing system
- Communicate with various parties/departments regarding special payable requests
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger and general ledger accounts
- Assist with other general duties as necessary
- Maintain year-end AP working papers and required spreadsheets
- Maintain federal, provincial, municipal permit/licence registrations and renewals

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- University/College in Accounting is an asset
- Minimum of two years in an Accounts Payable role
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Proficient with Sage Accounting Software
- Experience with Global Shop or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is required
- Experience with setting up and testing of an ERP is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

**Work Conditions**
- Comfortable sitting for long periods
- Safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Busy environment - must be able to work with little supervision
- Overtime as required.
- Regular hours are 7:30am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 am to 12:30 on Friday
