**POSITION: MECHANICAL DRAFTER**

**LOCATION: LANGLEY, BC**

**REPORTS TO: ENGINEERING MANAGER**

You’re a dynamic Drafter with experience in managing both simple and complex drawings. You build solid relationships with all stakeholders and love working in a team to see projects through from start to finish. You have excellent communication skills, and at your core you are a proactive problem solver who doesn’t let a project hiccup slow you down.

Your mission at SCG is to create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation with the use of precision measuring tools and CAD software while working closely with other departments to solve problems in a timely and effective manner.

You love a challenge and the opportunity to learn new things. Never have you been accused of waiting for work to come to you, if you are all caught up on your assignments you go out and assist your team members. You are always looking to learn.

**About the Role**:

- Work directly with the Engineering Team to design and produce working drawings for the manufacturing process
- With the aid of precision measurement tools, reverse engineer pump parts and complete pump units
- Create and maintain comprehensive Engineering drawing documentation
- Work with legacy drawings and ensure they meet current standards
- Consult and collaborate with other departments such as the sales team and the shop.
- Consistently deliver on deadlines
- Communicate challenges and potential solutions in a timely manner
- Work in a safe manner to ensure personal safety but also ensuring the safety of all SCG teammates
- Assist with QA/QC production as required
- Support and model SCG Culture statement behaviors
- All other duties as assigned from time to time

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or certificate in a mechanical technology or drafting program
- Experience with Solidworks
- Nice To Have but Not Required_
- Skilled with measuring tools
- Experience with 3D scanning
- Knowledge of Geomagic Design X
- Experience with FaroArm or similar CMM
- Experience with DraftSight or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment
- Machine shop experience, and knowledge of manufacturing methodologies is an asset

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:
