**Responsibilities**:

- Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects found during testing, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain the test environments, ensuring they accurately represent production-like scenarios.
- Automation: Evaluate opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing on mainframe systems to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Data Validation: Verify the accuracy and integrity of mainframe data by conducting data validation tests.
- Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging testing tools and methodologies to enhance the testing process.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the QA team to maintain and improve overall product quality and testing efficiency.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in working with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and mainframe debugging tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Testing Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meticulously execute test cases.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to team success.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Certifications (optional): ISTQB or any other relevant testing certifications will be a plus.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
