Based out of our **Innisfail Agro Site **, our Bulk Petro division is looking for a full-time **Petro Sales Representative **to join our team.

**Full-time**:40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

**Availability requirements**:Weekdays and weekends - Mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Reporting to the Petroleum Division Manager, the **Petro Sales Representative **will be responsible for gaining trust and developing a customer base within a geographical area and market bulk petroleum products and services while promoting the product service lines available at Central Alberta Co-op. Work collaboratively to get the best results. Provide excellent customer service and execute a sales program within the assigned market area to meet and/or exceed budgeted sales and margins. In this role, you will be also responsible for retail sales planning, forecasting, price strategy development, retail inventory and pricing, and budget preparations. Complete required e-Learning, TDG, and WHMIS.

Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety protocols and ensures the administration of company policies. Make field sales calls and cold calls to build relationships with existing and potential customers as well as informing customers of new and improved product lines. And assist the Division Manager as needed. Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude and be a team player. Ensure environmental stewardship is always followed and look for ways to grow CAC into a more sustainable company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Keep informed with competitor activities within the market area and pass on gathered intel to the Division Manager. Regularly monitor sales progress toward budget objectives and make corrective actions or recommendation to Division Manager to ensure inventory and delivery is in place to match demand and assist with the operations of the Bulk Petroleum location as required.
- Actively pursue and encourage cross-marketing of products and services with Agro. Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and analyze current and future petroleum, lubricant trends, service needs, and suggest strategies complex and/or specialized operational and/or sales support services to others. This includes informational meetings, trials, communications plans, etc.
- Support Management in preparing, administering, and achieving operating budget and goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity for existing customers and expand sales to new customers. Prioritize duties to ensure those of greatest or most immediate importance are completed first
- Manage and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, contractors and suppliers on complex queries, inquiries, and transactions. Understand and anticipate short-term, and potentially mid-term, complex customer needs and conduct related needs assessments. Recommend products and services to meet and exceed customer needs.
- Administer an aggressive field contact program with present and prospective customers, promoting the products and services available at Central Alberta Co-op. Arrange and execute customer learning opportunities that provide incremental value. Work closely with industry representatives to ensure product knowledge is current and relative.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and act as a facilitator for the resolution of product complaints. Prioritize and work with the location team to ensure timely delivery of products and services and coordinate with Division Manager as required. Coordinate with other team members and team leaders on tasks and responsibilities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participates and may lead projects within their area of expertise. Work with dispatch and drivers to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of deliveries and update Live Dispatch. May provide input into action planning within their functional area. Practice self-development to ensure knowledge is current.
- Accept that hours of work will be dependent on customer need and seasonal demand throughout the year. Work hours may include early mornings, late evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 3 Driver's License, with air - must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
- Knowledge of Central Alberta and surrounding area to successfully navigate is an asset,
- Training will be provided on-site,
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
