**About the Opportunity**
Manitoba Harvest has an opening for a Production Lead Hand to join our Production team. This position is based out of our Hemp Oil Canada facility located in Ste. Agathe, MB - an enjoyable 15-minute drive south of the perimeter on Highway 75.
**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Production Lead Hand is responsible for managing all shift operations, ensuring that the Granola Production Department is operating efficiently, while following all SOPs and company policies.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Leads and executes the following in adherence to Company standards: setup/teardown of the equipment, maintenance, housekeeping, and troubleshooting.
- Cultivates a culture of motivation and encouragement, fostering continuous improvement in work performance by delivering tailored training on granola production job functions for team members.
- Ensures accurate completion of all documentation and follows up on any corrective actions required by QA or Supervisors.
- Ensures compliance with Sanitation, GMP, HACCP, SOPs and food safety practices.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, identifies root causes, and implements immediate and long-term corrections.
- Supervises team members in granola manufacturing, ensuring quality, accuracy, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Promotes, interprets, applies, and/or enforces all Company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules to achieve clean, safe and efficient work areas throughout the Plant.
- Oversees emergency breakdown repairs with the Maintenance Team to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Conduct periodic inspections of equipment, facilities, and systems to identify operating conditions and repair or adjustment needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in leadership capacity in manufacturing environment - food strongly preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of HACCP and GMPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read write and speak English.
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade.
- Use of required personal protective equipment.
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
- Interacts with team members and management.
