**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Manager of Purchasing and Materials Management the Purchasing Analyst will work collaboratively with Purchasing and Stores team members. The Purchasing Analyst ensures the availability and supply quantity of all inventory products (Stores General Inventory, Safety, Stock, Pandemic Inventory and clinical /departmental supply carts). The position also liaisons with MMC and Warehousing representatives to ensure seamless contract product conversions as well as with Mohawk Medbuy Central Warehouse representatives. This position is accountable for the management and functionality of data analytical tools and processes as well as making recommendations towards innovative alternatives and change management. The Purchasing Analyst will support the Manager as a project lead as assigned.
- Minimum requirement of a three(3) year Post Secondary Diploma in a related field such as Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
- Minimum two(2) years related purchasing or logistics experience, preferably within a Healthcare Supply Chain.
- Experience in healthcare or working within a unionized environment

**You will be responsible for**:

- Monitor inventory levels to ensure supply meets demand
- Make adjustments/correctios to par levels to accommodate volume fluctuations or backorders
- Maintain accuracy of system data
- Report generation from Meditech for inventory and supply cart analysis
- Analyze, evaluate and replenish Pandemic Supply in accordance with Ministry guidelines
- cordinate and execute product conversions process and Stores Attendants
- Execute the proactive management of forecasts, replenishment and PAR levels
- Recognize opportunities to standardize products
- Liaise with the central warehouse to ensure product availability to meet end-user demand
- Source alternative products when unavailable from central warehouse. Escalate to Procurement Coordinators and Educators when required
- Communication of item changes to Clinical management, Materials Coordinators and onsite third party lgistics
- Management of backorders and substitute items
- Responsible for the timely collection of sourcing information performing all associated data analytics and capture anomalies and errors
- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the spend analysis functionality through the contract data management solutions/tools/reports
- Coordinates with the collection of information and data to support output statistics and analytical tools utilized for organization and departmental reporting
- Develop & execute strategic analytics roadmap with focus on KPI achievement
- Develop and monitoring performance metrics
- Collaborates with Sourcing staff and vendor representatives to ensure KPI's are achieved
- Identifies opportunities for non-contract spend reviews
- Responsible for efficency projects within the Strategic Sourcing and Logistics department to ensure optimum use of technology
- Analyze vendor order fill rates to identify potenital issues and assess vendor performance against target
