**Position Summary**

This position is responsible for the procurement and availability of materials to support production. This role works proactively with other departments and provides administrative coordination and support to the procurement function to ensure that information and data is current.

**Responsibilities**
- Solicit bid proposals, create purchase orders, order materials, supplies, or equipment, and ensure timely delivery of the proper quantity of materials to support production.
- Review and maintain current supplier list including payment terms, key contacts and lead times.
- Analyze existing sources of supply and identify opportunities for improved pricing or delivery.
- Partner with plant operations team to ensure that materials are available to support production needs.
- Manage inventory, including all inventory adjustments and pick lists.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, customers and internal team.
- Organize and inventory all stock every month and maintain 5S in plant and at external warehouse. Perform cycle counts as required.
- Contact, follow-up, and post-delivery communication with other departments
- Provide daily updates to other departments regarding pricing, lead times, and expected delivery dates on product categories assigned. Work with other departments, including Project Management, to ensure timely delivery.
- Process and submit paperwork to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
- Maintain Inventory Control system (all receivable entries, inventory adjustments, and daily usage).
- Perform other duties as needed.

**Knowledge & Skills**
- General understanding of Supply Chain Management best practices and requirements
- Able to negotiate prices, terms, etc.
- Able to acquire detailed knowledge of specific customers, suppliers, products, product lines and shipping requirements and maintain and update that information in the ERP system.
- Able to work collaboratively with other employees and departments to support time sensitive customer requirements.
- Able to recognize, analyze, and offer solutions to problems or involve the necessary people to ensure the problem is properly resolved.
- Able to adjust priorities on short notice in order to meet time sensitive requirements.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with inventory management software and other industry standard software and with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

**Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in a Buyer role or similar.
- Experience creating reports and presentations in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or construction industry software in a professional environment. Experience with Sage is a plus.

**Education**
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- University degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management or similar

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
