Overview:
The iRide Specialist reports directly to the Technical Manager of FlyOver Canada and oversees the iRide system at Vancouver’s exciting attraction open 7 days a week. The primary role is to plan and perform maintenance and repair of the iRide system which is critical to operating the attraction. The right person for this job is extremely safety focused with demonstrated technical background. They will perform daily ride checks and recover malfunctions, fast thinking and staying calm under pressure are a must. Ability to work nights and off hours for scheduled maintenance or unexpected emergency is required due.

The wage for this role is $42.00 hourly and a full breakdown of benefits and perks will be discussed in the interview process.
What will you do in this job?:
- Monitor and ensure guest and team member safety at all times
- Plan and perform preventative maintenance and repair of the iRide and related systems
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all issues, resolutions, and maintenance
- Perform ride safety checks
- Recover ride malfunctions
- Maintain and communicate proper inventory levels for all parts and consumables to the Technical Manager
- Assist with training operators on iRide operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting
- Comply with and participate in developing safe work procedures and OH&S policies and
- Assist with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
- Assist AV Specialist with repair and maintenance of A/V systems and facility
- Support special and seasonal event setup as required
- Working weekends and off hours for scheduled and emergency maintenance
- Maintain excellent working relationships internally and with suppliers
- Other tasks as required by management

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
**Ideal Experience**
- Demonstrated technical ability and background with an extended understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, electric motors, servo drives, relays, and related equipment
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with theme park maintenance and operation of ride systems
- Documenting and tracking maintenance with a computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Trade qualification in electrical, millwright or industrial maintenance; amusement ride safety certification (AIMS, NAARSO, etc) or diploma in mechatronics or industrial controls are an asset

**Physical Requirements**
- **Moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Positioning self to service and install equipment which may include bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, or reaching
- Frequently moving throughout jobsite and using stairs
- Using ladders and elevated work platforms to complete tasks
- Working at height utilizing fall protection equipment
