**Responsibilities**
- Communicating Safety topics with employees & management.
- Promoting an innovative Safety Culture of excellence.
- Company orientation, training and onboarding; including WHIMIS training.
- Implement & maintain company safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and ensure Safe Work Procedures are current and complete for all job sites.
- Review and complete associated contract safety documentation.
- Liaise closely with all field personnel to ensure that all company and legislative policies are being adhered to.
- Manage and organize all safety records and employee training certificates.
- Potentially; identify, develop and organize training programs for workers and management.
- Lead Safety Meetings and all associated communications with employees and clients.
- Promote and review Hazard Assessments & Toolbox Meetings.
- Prepare and maintain all requirements, documentation and filing for COR and COR Audits.
- Manage subcontractor safety program (documentation, prequalification and competency reviews)
- Lead and manage workplace safety audits, investigations, accidents, incidents and near misses including appeals where appropriate.
- Manage WCB claims, light duty, and return to work programs proactively, including appeals when appropriate.
- Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take the necessary measures to correct them.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Requirements**:

- Passion and drive for all things Safety
- 3+ years of field experience in the construction industry.
- Understanding & knowledge of safety legislations, procedures and processes.
- Proven leadership, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS office and are administratively organized.
- Experience with COR Audit Certification and maintenance is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Avetta, ISNetworld and other prequalification sites or SiteDocs considered an asset.
