Job Summary:
You are an experienced Telecom Contractor/Company who is responsible for the daily planning and

execution of aerial/underground Fiber drops. Your team should be able to safely climb utility poles

where you ensure that fiber cable is properly installed and secured to engineering specifications and

industry standards. Your developed ability to provide support to the other members on your immediate

team will help you achieve construction goals while simultaneously meeting the essential Health, Safety

and Environmental requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
Following all safety practice/procedure for pole climbing and road safety

Provide excellent customer service, contacting customers prior to drop placement

Use ladders/spurs to access aerial locations

Install applicable hardware, place drop from NAP/MPT to customer’s home for both aerial and

underground work

Utilize standard telecommunications tools

Track and communicate daily production and materials

Review, interpret and work with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents

Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience directly related experience, working as a Fiber Technician or a keen interest to

learn the trade

1-2 years of experience with customer service

Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes or ladder, if your company has experience operating

and performing work in a bucket truck, that would be a plus

Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they

Solid understanding of current construction practices and proficient knowledge of construction

documents

Proven ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project

quality and schedule

**Requirements**:
Experience working with little supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment is a

must; follows safety policies and procedures and wears the required personal protective equipment

required for the job

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet) and able to

perform work on uneven surfaces; experienced with climbing ladders and work from various heights

Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and background check

Provide your own vehicle - White vehicle with ladder rack

Provide your own tools and safety equipment

Pay: $17.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
