Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections
- Performs first article, in-process, and finished inspection on machined parts
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, inputting data into required spreadsheets/ data systems
- Calibration of inspection equipment and related documentation, work with manufacturing engineers in the development of our company products
- Approve in process inspection on manufacturing floor, set up in-process inspection sheets for machinists, and ensures all customer drawings requirements are met
- Inspect parts during entire manufacturing process, including incoming parts returning from outsourced processes
- Carefully stamp off manufacturing work instructions before allowing the machinist to proceed with the next operation
- Document and generate interdepartmental forms/ reports such as: corrective action reports, scrap reports, non-conformance reports and any other required quality records
- Ensure that all instruments and tools are calibrated, documented and recorded in a timely manner
- Ensure manufacturing processes meets control specifications and finished product standards
- Establish reliability and initiative to create a higher standard of performance through meeting set deadlines, achieving goals and objectives and pursuing efficiency
- Report all problems or concerns to supervisor
- Follow company attendance and punctuality policies
- Follow and comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing mandatory PPE
- Perform other duties as assigned
