The Program Manager provides operational and administrative leadership and facilitates associated quality and process improvements. The Program Manager is responsible for financial management of the resources available to achieve the program goals. The Program Manager works with the Program Director(s) to determine resource requirements and to ensure strategic program initiatives are met. The Program Manager develops and maintains effective working relationships with counterparts in other jurisdictions and community service providers.

**What you’ll do**
- Participate in the development of systems and processes to ensure the implementation and ongoing provision of screening program services.
- Contribute to the development of strategic directions and annual work plan.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to inform and collaborate on initiatives and determine appropriate roll out including education and training required.
- Responsible for the hiring and supervision of program staff and consultants; establishing clear definitions of responsibility, reviewing work assignments and priorities to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Provide effective leadership to staff by supervising and directing work, conveying policies and priorities, assessing performance, handling disciplinary issues, motivating and coaching staff, ensuring staffing issues are resolved and monitoring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation of standards and processes for organized cancer screening in the province.
- Establish systems to support the efficient and effective provision of patient care.
- Lead systems changes required for the maintenance and improvement of program related information systems and patient service processes.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets and core activities in collaboration with program leadership, by performing duties such as monitoring expenditures, variance reporting, recommending remedial action and taking corrective action to ensure performance to plan.
- Work closely with the Operations Director or designate to ensure accurate financial data on operational costs.

**What you bring**
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in health care administration, medical imaging, laboratory science or an applicable health discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years recent related experience working with networks, coalitions and multi-partnered projects including experience working with the Ministry of Health, health authorities, and/or an area of provincial policy development.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software products including word processing, spreadsheet, and database.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Support team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Work collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
