_Brimich is a family owned and operated 3PL company. We are a growing organization currently looking for a passionate and motivated **Assistant Warehouse Manager** to join our winning team as we continue to grow._

**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing and coordinating all activities relating to shipping, to achieve company objectives, at the highest possible efficiency and quality level, capturing available cost saving opportunities

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize, direct and control all operations in order to achieve the objectives specific to the warehouse
- Manages all employees in assigned warehouse to ensure that daily targets are met as well as being proactive for future needs
- Ensure respect for standards and regulations in force within the warehouse supporting (OHS, SQF etc)
- Identify hiring needs for facility on an ongoing basis
- Oversees the daily shipping and receiving of product and ensures adherence to shipping and labeling functions as per customer requirements
- Ensures that workload is managed effectively and manages performance and skill development of all employees
- Identifies opportunities to for continuous improvement (put-away process, pick process, WMS etc.) improving efficacy and working with Inventory team as required
- Proficient with the use and basic troubleshooting of WMS (ProVision)
- Ensures each warehouse is kept neat and orderly with accordance with sanitation schedules
- Follows all safety and environmental regulations and ensures HACCP and SQF Programs within the warehouse environment are followed and maintained
- Responsible for inventory management at the warehouse and communicates any issues with the VP,Operations
- Oversee orders are picked and workflow is utilized through the WMS to measure employee performance
- Participates in quality planning/improvement activities
- Conduct performance reviews and performance management of Warehouse Supervisors
- Provide guidance in the execution employee training programs and on-boarding new hires; including development, job-shadowing and compliance programs training
- Cross trained to cover all other warehouse responsibilities as required
- Performs all other duties as required by management
- **Must be flexible with shift schedules**

**Health and Safety**
- Understands and works in compliance with the Environmental and Health/Safety management systems, policies, rules, and guidelines.
- Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to: performing workplace inspections; actively participating in accident/incident investigations; identifying & correcting unsafe acts or conditions; conducting/participating in safety talks & staff meetings; training new employees

**Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies**:

- Ability to effectively lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep employees motivated.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve crisis.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to network with suppliers.
- Knowledge of safety standards and accident investigation.
- Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of bar coding systems

**Education and Training**
- 5+ years previous warehouse supervisory experience required
- Diploma in supply chain management, general administration from a certified college, or equivalent experience a definite asset
- Experienced Forklift Operator (stand-up high-reach counterbalance)

**Continuous Improvement**
- Participate in developing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in the warehouse.
