The following Permanent vacancy is available:
W.D.S.S. - 1.0 - General Studies (Math/English)
Qualifications/Experience:
- experience in stated assignment is preferred;
- Special Education qualifications are required for ABLE/Resource/Intensive Services positions;
- Special Education qualifications are preferred for positions at A.M.S.S.;
- French qualifications and fluency in French Immersion is required for French Immersion positions;
- Guidance Part 1 is required for Guidance positions;
- Co-Op Part 1 is required for Co-Op positions;
- Special Education Part 1 is required for Student Success positions;
- Special Education Part 1 is required for ALLP positions;
- experience with committee work including Literacy, MDT team, and safe schools is an asset for Student Success positions;
- knowledge of current curriculum directions;
- excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with students, parents and staff;
- positive interaction as part of the school team;
- consistent and fair classroom management;
- working with youth in a variety of settings;
- working with indigenous young people is an asset;
- electronic report card experience is an asset;
- computer skills are an asset.
