Summer Camp Counsellor

Dinoland Family Fun Centre is New Tecumseth’s Largest Indoor family centre. We have a large, 12,000 square foot facility full of fun for the whole family located in Tottenham, Ontario. Dinoland is offering a Summer Camp for children ages 4+ for 9 weeks starting Tuesday July 4th through to Sept 2nd. Dinoland is currently hiring for the position of Summer camp counsellor/coordinator

**Position Description**:

- Work with staff and Manager to Plan, organize and lead activities for camp children
- Prepare materials and clean up
- Monitor children’s participation in activities and ensure a positive and safe experience
- Provide supervision, and deliver fun, hands-on, educational activities for all children in camp
- Engages children in interactive activities including organized arts and crafts, singing, sports activities, games and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe environment
- Clean up and maintain order to our facility in order to ensure safety

**Requirements**:

- Police Criminal record check
- Experience working with groups of children
- Minimum 1 year of camp experience preferred
- Skills and knowledge in a program area such as arts& crafts, games, activities, sports and dance
- First Aid Certificate an asset
- Enthusiastic, energetic, self motivated and adaptable to various circumstances
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$18.00 per hour
