**Carpenter at Joe’s Carpentry**

**Responsibilities**
- As described here after but not limited to:

- Install foundation, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials using wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
- Fit and install windows, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim and cladding using levels and lasers levels.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Study spec sheets, blueprints, sketches and building plans to plan and prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power tools.
- Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, framework, or other wooden fixtures used in building, using hand tools, machines, or power tools.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or braces, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins or glue.
- Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structure and repair or replace, using hand tools or power tools.
- Inspect ceilings, floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork using hand tools, machines, or power tools to detect broken or damaged material or structures.
- Move necessary material to and from jobsite as needed or assigned.
- Clean jobsite of debris
- Communicate with Project manager or Construction manager and Salesperson by job log or messaging in Co construct if applicable or other wise on daily progress and homeowner/client needs.
- Communicate with subtrades.
- Order and or pick up materials if needed.
- Be part of the “general contractor team” working together, helping and teaching others on the team.

**Qualifications**
- Licenced carpenter or experience in construction industry, residential and small commercial min 5 years
- Valid G licence and own reliable vehicle.

**Assets**
- Diploma for construction tec (or similar)
- General carpenter diploma
- Knowledgeable of CoConstruct Management software.

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
