Operations Manager, Starlink Division

EnerStar Solutions' integration with Starlink, the most reliable and efficient high-speed broadband internet powered by the newest Low Earth Orbit satellites, we will help you connect from the most remote locations on the globe, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
The Operations Manager is a dynamic, results-driven individual who will lead and optimize the operations of our Starlink Division. This position requires a delicate balance of delegation, collaboration, communication, and support to ensure optimal performance and alignment with overarching organizational goals in a dynamic environment. The Operations Manager will ensure operational excellence, driving growth, and contributing to the success of our team. This is a key leadership role in a rapidly expanding division, requiring a strong cultural fit, a passion for technology, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
**Core Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Champion EnerStar Guiding Values.
- **Operations Management**:Oversee all aspects of operational planning, execution, project management, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Ensure accuracy in shipments and deployments, improving processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- **Team Building & Leadership**:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work culture and promoting collaboration.
- Ensure team members are engaged, effective, and aligned with the division's goals.
- Manage remote teams effectively to ensure consistent operational performance.
- **Problem-Solving & Decision-Making**:Identify and resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Implement solutions that enhance operational flow and support the division’s growth objectives.
- **Sales Collaboration**:Partner with the sales team to ensure operational capabilities align with client promises, contributing to increased sales and gross profit.
- Support the sales team by providing accurate and timely operational insights.
- **Compliance & Vendor Management**:Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and ensure compliance across operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality and negotiating contracts that benefit the division.
- **Financial Management**:Oversee budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost management to ensure operational activities stay within budget and contribute to the division’s financial health.
- Analyze financial performance and prepare reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- **Technology & Systems Management**:Ensure the effective use of technology and systems to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and implement new tools or systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- **Risk Management**:Identify potential risks to operations and develop strategies to mitigate them. Create and maintain contingency plans to address unexpected disruptions or challenges.
- **Customer Service & Satisfaction**:Oversee the quality-of-service delivery to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Implement systems for gathering and addressing customer feedback to continuously improve service.
- **Continuous Improvement & Strategic Planning**:Develop and implement strategies that drive operational improvements and support long-term growth.
- Optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency in line with the division’s strategic objectives.
- **Training & Development**:Identify training needs and provide opportunities for team members to develop new skills and competencies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- **Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility**:Implement and promote environmentally sustainable practices within operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- **Change Management**:Lead and manage changes in processes, systems, or organizational structure to ensure smooth transitions and mínimal disruption.
- **Communication & Stakeholder Engagement**:Communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers to drive collaboration and ensure transparency.
- Build strong relationships across departments to support divisional success.
- Additional responsibilities: as identified and assigned.
**Travel**: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by EnerStar Solutions. Based in Calgary, with mínimal out of province travel required.
**Experience**:
- 7 + years progressive Operations Management
- Proven Operations Management experience
- Strong understating of P&L’s and business acumen
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:
- Proficiency in MS Windows / MS Office 365, particularly Excel and Teams
