**Job responsibilities**
- Responsible for the Multilingual portfolio - establishing and maintaining the multilingual strategy, guidelines and expertise network within Air Canada and with translation providers. Create and develop a quality assurance process and manage terminology records creation with multilingual providers. Act as the relationship manager to internal clients in regards of such portfolio and organize calls with the International teams.
- Responsible for the Audiovisual portfolio (transcription technologies, video/subtitling project management, analysis, preparation, attribution, revision, quality assurance, etc.), following international linguistic and technical subtitling standards in the tone and manner of the original media, following strict timeframes. Act as relationship manager to internal clients for such portfolio and suggest technical, linguistic and cinematographic solutions.
- Responsible for the Editorial Portfolio - Air Canada enRoute magazine and Horizons magazine content -(project management, analysis, attribution, revision, proofreading, concise writing for publishing, advisory role). Act as the relationship manager to internal clients for such portfolio.
- Perform assignments related to the Marketing portfolio (project management, terminology, creative content, attribution, adaptation, revision, etc.), including Creative Studio and Aeroplan, to deliver copywriting solutions in French that reinforce Air Canada's brand voice that marries with the visual elements to achieve communication objectives.
- Translate and/or revise documents as needed for the assigned portfolios and ad hoc projects, such as Catering menu.
- Provide assistance on other Linguistic Solutions deliverables depending on the demand and situation, to help the team.
- Consult and research on the various language particularities, depending not only on the language, but also on the culture of each Air Canada market, to ensure a proper transcreation delivery to reach out to the consumer.
- Ensure projects are accomplished efficiently and effectively within timelines, all with the highest quality while ensuring cost control.
- Maintain, cultivate, and grow internal client relationships with the goal of exceeding client satisfaction.
- Resolve issues that may have any production, business, or client impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve consistency among documents across channels.
- Provide editorial review when required.
- Create, maintain, update, and improve processes, policies, and standards.
- Identify team training needs and provide coaching.
- Support various internal teams regarding their linguistics needs.
- Support the translation provider and internal team with terminology research and guidance, using the appropriate dictionaries, grammars, language databases and other electronic and paper sources, and document decisions.
- Generate creative concepts for a campaign or project.
- Provide quality control over projects to ensure brand voice consistency and compliance with Official Languages requirements.
- Provide linguistic advisory to all major bilingual projects.
- Develop and maintain Air Canada's linguistic standards.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Air Canada internal customers and the translation service provider to ensure the corporation's style and values are reflected through professional translation services, with expected timelines and quality.
- Develop and implement linguistic tools for employees.
- Ability to work under pressure in order to help the internal team with highly visible documents such as press releases and replies to media and time-sensitive communications, when required.

- Ability to follow various projects and versions in a timely manner to step into the action at any moment
- Highly motivated, autonomous and detail-oriented
- Outstanding writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and TikTok
- Knowledge of translation memories, terminology databases and computer-assisted translation tools
- Knowledge of subtitling, voice-over and narration international standards and tools
- Knowledge of user experience regarding content localization for corporate websites.
Knowledge of the ethics of translation and publishing
- Knowledge of dictionaries, grammars and specialized lexicons
- Bachelor's degree in Translation or equivalent
- Graduate degree in marketing
