**About the role**:
In a 24/7 operation, provide service to the Case Managers and clients of Allianz Global Assistance by administering the emergency travel and transport portion of a subscriber’s benefits. Ensure the safe and cost efficient transport of sick and injured travelers by the safest recommended mode of transport recommended by our medical department and the patient’s physician. Required to attain performance objectives on a monthly basis.

**You are great at**:

- Opening transport files on the computer system to accurately record communication with Nurses, Case Managers, Providers and Airlines to show requested results and associated costs.
- Creating and maintaining action plans for travel arrangements to ensure that the Nurses and Case Managers are on track to receive relevant information and to meet deadlines.
- Reviewing coverage for transport related benefits.
- Creating estimate summaries to ensure accurate information pertaining to costs is relayed to the Nurses so that they may advise the client and insurers of the costs associated with travel arrangements.
- Obtaining quotes and choosing the best option to deliver the quickest, safest & most competent transport solution for the patient with mínimal technical stops.
- Filing information on claims to effectively keep records of all correspondence relating to claims so that they may be easily accessed.
- Identifying and tracking trends on a database so that assurance of provider adherence can be easily monitored.
- Booking commercial flights, limos, sedans, ground ambulances and commercial escorts.
- Liaising with airlines for special travel arrangements, such as booking a variety of special travel arrangements needed for client such as oxygen, stretchers, or exchange/upgrade flights.
- Supporting the Case Manager by having a strong knowledge base of our products and associated transport related benefits.
- Relaying travel arrangements to the patient and/or their travelling companions.

**What it takes**:

- Post-secondary education and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the Emergency Assistance Department or the Case Management Department.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task.
- Superb verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate professionally and articulately via phone with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and independent judgment in solving customer problems.
- Proven ability to showcase a high level of accountability and ownership over a task.
- Good understanding of world geography and current events.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is preferred.
