**JOB PURPOSE**:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading our National Accounts Receivable team in ensuring that billing from all sources is maximized. Oversees the reconciliation of all billing and payment activity, billing investigations, billing analysis and creation of controls to ensure billing loss is kept at a minimum.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accounts Receivable:_
- Responsible for reconciliation of billing activity from source EMR system to Physician Payroll system and ultimately to Sage 300 general ledger.
- Improves on current reconciliation processes to ensure accurate billing with automation where appropriate.
- Participates in collection activities on outstanding claims.
- Investigates any escalated dispute resolutions and billing errors as required.
- Project Management:_
- Supports and executes strategy for optimization of billing and integration of national teams in multi-provincial jurisdictions.
- Identifies potential billing loss or problems and creates a proactive way to prevent it from reoccurring.
- Documents new and existing control procedures.
- Recognizes opportunities for improvement, provides recommendations and assists in implementation.
- Organizational Leadership:_
- Develops effective business relationships with physicians, clinic managers, clinic staff and finance team members nationally.
- Provides ongoing training, development, coaching, performance management of the AR team.
- Communicates company initiatives and values to direct and indirect reports.
- Supports in team engagement initiatives within the finance team.
- Supports and lives the values of the business, including corporate culture and team engagement.
- And other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- 3-5 years in a progressive leadership role supporting risk management, project management, change management, or similar.
- Basic understanding of the flow of healthcare billing methods is considered an asset.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Software.
- Professional and mature approach to leadership and customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude in numbers/statistics
- Demonstrated decision making, detail oriented and analytical ability.
- Ability to manage and prioritize project work.
- Aptitude for understanding databases, system flows and processes.

**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in business/ management preferred.
