We are looking for an experienced Class 3 Tow Truck Drivers for our growing team in **FORT MCMURRAY**. We need drivers who are client orientated, hardworking and motivated with flat deck experience. Our drivers must be dedicated to customer service and safety procedures. The schedule is 5 x 2 - 10 hour days to start, may switch to 7 days on 7 days off
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Driving and operating a Tandem Deck Tow Truck for transportation of disabled vehicles and equipment safely, efficiently, on and off highway, and under adverse climatic conditions.
- **Mine site experience in Fort McMurray**:
- Interact and communicate with customers & dispatcher in a courteous and respectful manner building relationships and trust.
- Load/secure vehicle or equipment to the tow truck for transporting (this may include using a chain, straps, winch, steering locks, and other devices as well as fixing lights onto the towed vehicle).
- Performs pre/post inspections along with routine maintenance logs, check fluids, lights, mirrors, and any other items effecting the safe operation of the vehicle.
- Securing, tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo in conjunction with site/highway standards.
- Write up reports of service; completion of daily paperwork (pre-post trip inspections, driver logbook, trip/client invoicing)
**Required Skills**:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while consistently providing co-workers and our customers with professional and outstanding service.
- Experience in load securement.
- Minimum three consecutive years' experience driving Class 1 or 3
- 5-year clean commercial abstract
- Must be able to provide clean commercial abstract AND claims history letter from previous employer’s insurance company showing at least three consecutive years of experience and whether any claims occurred during the specified timeframe.
- Satisfactory 3-year insurance history claims letter
- Comprehensive Alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Maintain Oil Sands Site badges
- Can prioritize and multitask and remain flexible in continually changing situations.
- Strong attention to detail and remain focused on tasks.
- Must be able to work various shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; also required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift over 50 pounds.
- Perform heavy manual labour for in adverse inclement weather.
