**Qualifications.** We encourage Indigenous individuals with varied academic qualifications and professional
experience in research, teaching/mentoring, and community engagement, with or without formal post
- secondary credentials; individuals with substantial community and/or professional experience in combination
with a graduate degree (i.e., Masters-level); and, applicants who hold standard academic criteria within a
program. The School of Education will support doctoral students by creating space and time for them to
complete their program. Lived experience, deep connections to Mi’kmaw culture and experience in community
based or public education contexts will be considered assets.

**Salary** will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

**The Work Environment. **The School of Education is in the Faculty of Professional Studies. We offer year
- round education through a Bachelor of Education, Masters of Education and an interuniversity PhD program.
