Retail store associate - Cannabis House
We are looking for retail store associates for Cannabis House who are responsible, hardworking, dedicated, and with a positive attitude who thrives on delivering excellent customer service and educating the public about cannabis.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and welcoming customers as they enter the store.
- Operating the POS terminal and adhering to all cash and Loss Prevention procedures.
- Provide an educational and informative experience for all customers.
- Assist Store Manager open/ close at the beginning or end of shifts. Execute high operating standards.
- Ensure the store is cleaned and well-stocked. (May include sweeping/ vacuuming sales floor area, wiping counters and displays regularly).
- Any other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older.
- 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- High School Diploma required. Post-secondary degree/ diploma is preferred.
- SellSafe Certification.
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check and Comprehensive Background Check.
- Working knowledge of regulations pertaining to the selling of Cannabis in Alberta.
**Requirements**:
- Team player.
- Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while dealing with customers. This position will deal with the general public in a front-line customer service capacity.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical problems.
- Excellent communications skills (both written and oral).
- Flexible schedule - may include evenings and weekends. Working hours may be based on business needs.
- Passion for learning more about the Cannabis industry and AGLC rules and regulations. Self-directed learner.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Bending and stretching to stock shelves may be required.
- A professional and clean appearance.
