**QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER**

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance Program. Your strong aptitude for problem solving and root cause analysis is complemented with an exceptional ability to lead, build relationships and communicate with all layers of the organization.
- Supervise QA, QC, and Sanitation Departments
- Primary contact with on site CFIA inspectors; respond to weekly CVS reports, CARS, and investigations
- Create maintenance work orders, assist with safe implementation of new equipment
- Sample products and maintain internal retain program
- Responsible for equipment calibration program
- Responsible for monitoring and oversight of Quality Control program
- Hire direct reports, orientate, and develop training needs to satisfy the Food Safety and Quality program and facility requirements
- Deliver HAACP and Food Safety and Quality program updates, maintenance, verifications and function as a cross functional liaison to ensure the plant is meeting regulatory and compliance requirements for all stakeholders
- Lead third party audits (CVS,HAACP,SQF or customer) and prepare/coach cross functional managers before and during these audits
- Manage the environmental monitoring for all relevant parts of equipment and areas of the facility.
- Conduct analysis of sanitation /environmental data to determine root cause of deficiencies and provide sanitation and operations team feedback on performance and necessary improvements
- Audit and report non-compliance and take corrective actions to assure compliance to all quality assurance food safety requirements on a regular and daily basis
- Developing a constructive work environment through excellent interpersonal team building skills, open communications, encouraging input and constructive performance management

**Required Skill, Experience and Qualifications**:

- Possess a bachelor's Degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Experience working in a meat processing plant an asset
- Have 5+ years of experience in food processing, Food Industry HACCP and SQF programs, and quality management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess and prioritize.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees and Supervisors.
