**Summer Camp Leader Posting**
Uxbridge Summer Camps are designed to provide a variety of unique, fun-filled experiences in a safe environment. Our summer camp starts with plenty of field trips, wild visitors, exciting activities and aims to share precious memories with all our campers; memories we know they will carry with them for a lifetime. We are looking for a Summer Camp Leader to join our Adventure and Discovery camp.
The Summer Camp Leader is responsible for leading and supervising campers in a safe, fun, and educational environment. They will plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities, and ensure that all campers are engaged, challenged, and supported.
**Responsibilities but no limited to**:
- Supervise campers during all camp activities, including meals, and recreation time
- Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and team-building exercises
- Ensure that all campers are engaged, challenged, and supported, and provide feedback and guidance to help them grow and develop
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment, and help campers build relationships and friendships with their peers
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, and follow all camp safety guidelines and protocols
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and other staff members, and provide regular updates on camp activities and camper progress
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of camp facilities, and ensure that all equipment and supplies are maintained and stored properly
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions
**Qualifications**:
- College/University degree or currently enrolled
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PSVC)
- Prior experience working with children in a camp or similar setting
- Knowledge of child development, and the ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of campers, parents, and staff members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing situations and priorities
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to participate in physical activities with campers, such as hiking, swimming, and sports
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and to work in outdoor and indoor environments in various weather conditions
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Uxbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location: One location
