Debt Collector

**Shellco Credit is looking for quick learning Collection Agents with a minimum of 2 years of 3rd Party Collection Agency Experience.**
- **Hours of Shift: (**_**This position is an in-office position)**
- Monday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Tuesday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Wednesday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm

**Experience/Qualifications Requirements**:

- Must have experience working with Credit bureaus.
- Correspond with debtors while being compliant and following the provincial legislation laws & client guidelines.
- Provide timely and effective resolutions to collection files.
- Analyze and evaluate credit whilst utilizing their information in collection tactics.
- Follow guidelines to determine & negotiate suitable repayment arrangements.
- Update customer account information with e.g. commitments to pay, amounts & dates, collection call updates.
- Submit reports for review by collection management in a timely manner.
- Possibly complete other collection responsibilities that may come up.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for consistent collection calls.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Adapt in a fast-paced environment & willingness to learn.
- Desire to learn and further your career & be a team player.
- English required, Bilingual an asset (but not required).

**Experience**:

- 3rd Party Collection Agency: 2 years (required).

Pay: $35,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
