**Responsibilities**:

- **Lab Operations Management**: Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample intake, analysis, and reporting, ensuring adherence to GMP, ISO17025 standards, and relevant regulations.
- **Quality Assurance and ISO17025 Certification**: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures that align with GMP and ISO17025 requirements. Work towards achieving ISO17025 certification by coordinating internal processes and documentation.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of laboratory technicians, analysts, and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- **Instrumentation and Equipment**: Manage laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to guarantee accurate results.
- **Data Management**: Supervise data management processes, including sample tracking, data recording, analysis, and reporting, maintaining data integrity and security.
- **SOP Development**: Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect GMP best practices and regulatory requirements.
- **Health and Safety**: Enforce strict safety protocols and procedures, promote a safe working environment, and provide training on safety practices and emergency response.
- **Client Engagement and Audits**: Collaborate with clients to understand their testing needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of results. Manage client audits, demonstrating the lab's GMP compliance and competence.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and technological advancements to enhance lab performance and achieve GMP standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Exceptional understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO17025 accreditation requirements.
- Proven experience in leading a lab towards GMP compliance and ISO17025 certification.
- Strong familiarity with environmental and cannabis testing methodologies and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in team management, process improvement, and quality assurance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
