We are looking for an experienced **Butcher **for our client situated in **Whitby, ON**. They are specialized in packaging and slaughtering of meat.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cut meat according to customer orders and specifications.
- Operate and maintain cutting and grinding equipment.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of meat products.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace.
- Package and label meat products for display and sale.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock meat products as needed.
- Receive and inspect meat deliveries for quality and freshness.
- Price meat products and maintain accurate pricing records.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations related to meat handling and safety.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in meat cutting and preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Physical strength and dexterity.
- Familiarity with various cuts of meat.
- Ability to operate cutting equipment.
- Good customer service skills.
- Availability for flexible working hours.

**Location**: Whitby, ON

**Shift time**: Day Shift (6:30 am to 5:00 pm)

**Pay**: $20/hr. to $22/hr (depending upon experience)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitby, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- meat cutting: 1 year (preferred)
