**Job Description - Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator**

This position is responsible for the receipt, shipment and signed documentation of all raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods entering/exiting from our manufacturing facility in Guelph Ontario. Many of these duties will require the safe and efficient use of machinery such as a forklift and various sizes of palette pump jacks. Additionally, some knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is required to digitally receive and ship components within our system. The roles and responsibilities for this position shall include but are not limited to the below.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Receiving**:

- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials while ensuring to properly count and document receipt of goods upon the provided packing slip from the vendor.
- Stamp, sign and scan receiving documents, upload to resource management software and post receipt of materials.
- Distribute received materials and unpack them in the proper location as suggest by resource management software and/or additional communication with shop-floor Leads.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor storage areas.

**Shipping**:

- Monitor shipping whiteboards and subsequently communicate with Production staff to ensure that all materials for the day's deliveries are accounted for, packaged, and documented properly.
- Load outbound materials on delivery trucks safely and efficiently using palette jacks and/or forklift.
- Perform "truck-level" quality assurance (QA) where-in all materials are double checked to be loaded and ensure check marks appear on the company copies of the packing slips.
- Work safely and politely with truck drivers, customers, and third-party carriers.

**Outbound Logistics**:

- Receiving instruction from the Order Coordinator, this employee shall be accountable for safely packaging outbound boxes for pickup by carriers such as Purolator.
- Schedule outbound carrier deliveries via online portals and generate appropriate packing labels and slips.
- Keep carefully organized and customer/driver signed documents of all outbound shipments.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Enterprise Resource Management Software (Microsoft Business Central preferred).
- Forklift experience and safe operation.
- Online shipping portal (Purolator preferred).
- Experience within a manufacturing facility (labour or shipping/receiving).
- Organizational skills and document accountability.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical components.
- Microsoft Office Suite of software.

**Working Environment**:
**Job Type/Hours**: Full Time - (8am - 4pm M-F)

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour
