Cash Application Lead

Vaughan, Canada GFL Environmental Inc. Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:
Serve as backup to supervisor
Maintain Daily Team Stats
Compile and publish Quarterly Team Metrics
Assist GL in resolving discrepancies identified in their Monthly Reconciliation of 2041 account
Accurately post adjustment from division branches with 24 hours of receipt. Adjustments include credit, debit and transfers from one account to another
Lead research regarding misapplied payments
Ability to excel in a fast paced environment
Serve as lead to train new team members and provide guidance to other team members
Participation in meetings and special projects as needed
Provide excellent customer services to internal and external customers
Conform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies**:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three to Five years of experience as Cash Applications Specialist
Good Working knowledge of Tower, Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word and Excel; and JD Edwards
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to pay read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
